Betty Wick has shown her work in major galleries and is preserved in private collections worldwide. Alluring characters and fantastical landscapes, scenes as absorbing as her intriguing spirit, the artist creates honesty out of light and color that sheds revelation into a dreamscape world. Utilizing her talents, Betty Wick has landed numerous illustrations with The Boston Globe and The Washington Post. Other trending licensing successes have included collector furniture for Warner Bros. Studio Stores, limited edition hand painted cat collectables for Jonny Cat Corporation, hand painted collectable tiles for The Ford Motor Corporation, and greeting cards for Paper Shark.
Betty has taught children’s art for many years…“When I look at what a child has created, that art is exactly what I inspire to. The magic is so pure, so simple, there for the entire world to see and enjoy.”
She has gone on to illustrating her own children’s books in collaboration with her husband, writer, Michael Stang. More recently, Betty has finished illustrating a children’s book titled Monster Weeds. An adventure that takes place in the created world of a much larger work titled Harmony Beach.
She lives on the Central Coast of California with her husband and son, close to Harmony Beach.
